Default Any chance of fixing Digi 003 Win drivers?

I know it's a long shot but really. Stop the transport and you have a gap in the audio then part of the reverb tail plays. WT? Audio will often distort briefly when starting or stopping. WT? Does it on half a dozen systems and five different 003R and two 003. Also you roll along hear a 'tick' roll back not there. (yeah and don't start with clocking issues, it's not that) I'm also on clean regulated power and my power amps spec better than some mic pres so it ain't that.
Never did it in PT7 so gotta be the damn drivers. I hear from other people that this started in PT8. I jumped from PT7 to PT10. I love PT10, it's great. I also like my 003R but some days it really bugs me that something like this is ignored and never gets fixed.

end of rant

Been using the 003 controller here without issue for 3 years and every version since 7.3. Running 10.3.2 HD software now and can't really find a fault with the 003(minor software things, but the hardware is fine). My only complaint re clocking is having to reset on system boot(I use an eternal Word Clock). FWIW, while Avid recommend the Legacy firewire driver, it doesn't work here, but the TI Compliant driver works dandy. Sorry its not serving you

Yeah I know I'm running the same version and I get lots of work done with my 003 and it really is solid apart from those couple quirky things. Everything bounces out fine so I don't worry, It just bugs me every once in a while. (just crabby today ha ha)
You don't experience the dropout when the transport stops? Hmmm

No dropouts here. I was getting pops at punch-out points using quick-punch, but that went away sometime around 10.3. Maybe you should post a Sandra report to see if that shows up any hardware issues?

Yes well I'd have to post for half a dozen different rigs, Asus, Intel, Lenovo, etc. they all do it (ASIO4all doesn't behave that way)

Now see, I never had the noise with 'quick punch' thing.
Maybe it's time to upgrade to x79 i7 or some such thing. These machines are getting a little long in the tooth.

Yeah, ASIO4ALL was a bust for me(tried it with Fast Track Pro). Those x79/i7 rigs sure are tempting, but I'll take 1 or 2 solid systems, over 5 or 6 that don't cooperate

Well here's a Sandra from one of my rigs. I appreciate any advice but I think it's pretty straight forward. This rig ran PT7.3 with 003R for a long time and now runs PTHD 10 very well except for the issues in the OP
