Video Satellite LE and 8.0.3 problems?

Hi All,
I upgraded my VS LE rig to 8.0.3 and I'm having nothing but problems. I think it's my computer but everything works well with 8.0.1. Is anyone else having problems with VS LE and 8.0.3? I'm using a Mbox micro.

What kind of problems? wont connect? video playback or scrubbing?

hard crash within about 5 min of use. more often then not when I'm scrubbing. 8.0.1 LE works fine.

Yeah having ProTools 8.0.3 LE with Satellite LE crash a lot too, it tends to do it when you're scrubbing like you said. Also randomly crashes, usually I can reload the session again and it works fine. Been having this problem lately.

I'm using 8.0.3 on both sides (PTHD and VSLE) for more than a week...

No problems so far...

Hi,

I would like to help figure out what is going on with your system/sessions.

In Pro Tools 8.0.3, we added better and more robust logging to help track down problems like the one you are seeing. When Pro Tools crashes, some information about the crash is written out to a log file. The log files are kept in the "LogFiles" folder that is next to the Pro Tools application.

Here's what you need to do...

1) Reproduce the crash you are seeing.
2) Look in the LogFiles folder and find the latest log file. The file name ends with .dlog
3) Email this "dlog" file to [email protected]. Please include your DUC user name and the hyper-link to this DUC thread (http://duc.digidesign.com/showthread.php?t=262447) so I can track which post this came from.

Please put my name in the subject line of the email.

Hi Bob,
Unfortunately, I CCC'ed my system back to 8.0.1. That version is working great and the QT bar at the top of the QT window is a little smaller. So, I don't have the log files. Very sorry. Maybe next week, if I have some extra time, I'll put 8.0.3 on a spare drive and repo the bug.
