Default Coreaudio 6.7 messed things up

This is a Digi001 question. I realize the Digi001 isn't supported anymore, but nonetheless, here's the quesion/problem:

I installed coreaudio 6.5. PTLE 6.4 runs fine (OS 10.3.6). But no other sound application works through the Digi001 card. If I select the Digi001 in the Sound SYstem Preference window, no other application (except PTLE) will generate a sound (iTunes, Amadeaus II, Quicktime, etc.).

I've updated to Coreaudio 6.7 and OS 10.3.7, same thing. LAst time it worked was before the Coreaudio 6.5 "upgrade". Coreaudio 6.4.2 I believe with OS 10.3.4.

Anybody with a Digi001 out there have this problem? Am I going to have to downgrade my OS and Coreaudio?

I took a chance and downloaded the latest coreaudio along with updating my OS to X.3.7 and i'm running a 001.
Everything is working as it should.....dare i say even better.....

I know this doesn't help you any....Perhaps a bad DL.......trash and try again.

One more thing....did you repair permissions.Apple suggests doing that after every update.

Good luck

Just wondering exactly which core audio that was, 6.5 or 6.7? I'm assuming you're still using 6.4 software or did you update this to 6.7 as well? Love to know!

Coreaudio 6.7 is "the latest",........and FYI the 001 software developement was ended with the release of vers. 6.4 (i'm still using this release)
There will be no more updates that officially support the 001.That's not to say they won't work, just don't expect them to.

All this brings up another worry of mine.At some point i'd imagine that LE vers. 6.4 would be left behind with the advancement of the OS X.?.?.........or am i wrong.........

Thanks Bee-Man, I was sort of hoping you were going to tell me that the 001 would in fact run with 6.7 -I know it was a vain hope, but some one is bound to try ....I myself don't want the honour of being the first however!
I wouldn't worry too much about 6.4 being left behind by Mac OS advancements too much. I believe it's very unlikely that version 7 protools will actually support the Mac platform. So you're not going to miss much.
