Default side chain on the Venue

id Like to be able to use my kick drum to act as a trigger to duck my guitar groups compressor a tad. I'm not understanding the side chain on the Venues compressor or how it acts with inserted plug ins. can someone walk me through this thanks. Im used to doing this on my pro tools rig but just not getting the routing here.First post.

Default Re: side chain on the Venue

Unfortunately it is not possible with the channel's internal compressor, only the internal gate which won't work for what you want. The key input on the compressor only works within the channel itself. What you are going to need to do is use either the Dynamics III plug-in or if you have Smack it will work too. Just place either of them in the insert of the guitars group and go to town.

Good luck,

Erik
