audio device buffer underflow error 6088

I need HELP!

i just bought Pro Tools le 7.0 002 rack.

It is running on a Dual Processor 2.2 GHZ Compaq XEON with 2 Gig of RAM on the Windows XP platform.

After loading Pro tools le 7.0 on my pc and opening a demo session that came with the software, in order to test the unit and software...

as the demo session is playing suddenly i end up with an error " The device Buffer Underflowed. If this occurs frequently try decreasing the H/W Buffer size in the playback engine. etc...

i have changed the settings within the playback buffer but nothing seems to help and this problem continously happens... I have not been able to play out the entire demo session.

Does anyone have a clue how to STOP this from happening.

It's important to pay attention to all the advice about computer setup (DMA drives, turning off certain video features etc), as outlined in the startup manual. Also, you have hopefully checked the Compatibility link (above) to be sure there are no problems with your setup.

Aside from that general advice, you should re-post on the LE forum (use the JUMP button below). This forum is for TDM systems, and the hardware is different, so the solutions are also different than for yours.
