Bussing with PT II

Well I've read more and more.....if and only "if" mixing down to a Master out in the PT or the Pro Control makes dramatic changes to the sound or at least makes a difference would mixing to pairs, maybe 8, and taking them out of PT through a direct out or bus out into an analog mixer like the Manley 16x2 make it sound better?
