Default PCI Buss SPiking... random random....HELP!!

All,

P4C800-e Asus Mobo
P4 3.0
2GB Ram
2x 80GB seagate sata drivers
1x WD Raptor 150GB 8Audio Drive)
HD 7.0

I just moved my PT rig from a little case to a large full tower case. I didnt add anything and put all drives and cards back where they were originally. I HAD a SOLID rig. Now ....at random, the PCI buss meter will spike and BOOM session stops recording or bouncing.

Its unnerving to say the least.

My audio drive is a Raptor hooked up to the RAID controlelr on the board. HOWEVER, I have the 378 drivers installed for teh board and the BIOS says the Promise controller is operating in IDE mode.

I looked in the control panel and the HD process are sharing IRQ 23 with the Promise SATA controller. Is this the culprit?

Cards are insalled Video Card --> HD Core--> Hd Process

Ideas?

It has to be something with the Promise controller.... I can track for days on my Lacie FW drives...... this is killing me... I have a major label client tomorrow and I cant use the raptor.... oh well.

With absolutely NO changes, other than unplugging it all and plugging back in after moving it all into the new case...I would say a cable, something with power supply (same PS I assume?), or something with the motherboard.

Nikki-k,

Thanks for the response. No its not the same power supply... Its a new one. Antec 550. SHould be more than adequate since my old was was 550 as well...

Ill try mocing the raptor to the primary controller and putting a lesser used drive on the Promise,...

Thanks,
