PT 8 vs Power Mac G5

(Sorry if I missed threads about this elsewhere. I've searched for it)

Anyhow, I'm thinking about upgrading from 7.4.2 to PT 8, and wonder if there is anyone who has experience in working with PT 8 on a power mac G5 (dual 2.5Ghz) ?

Will it work or am I doomed to buy a Mac pro etc ?

I use a G5 dual 2.5 and upgrading to PT 8 was the easiest upgrade I have done which included upgrading to Leopard. Been on it for a couple of months and really like PT8. I noticed a slight slow down in the machine overall but that could be Leopard. Not enough to matter. It's been running smoothly.

no problems, everything very fast now...

Do a search, it's been covered. Just don't expect much in the way of RTAS and
instrument usage.
