I just did it for HD Native TB on Mojave and it was painless. Took 2-3 minutes and required a shutdown, 5 second wait, then a startup. Everything is working fine so far.

Working fine here since it was released this morning. 2 cards were updated with no issue (on High Sierra -- so no longer officially supported but I'm guessing that's more a "wasn't tested" scenario as Avid usually discard an old macOS when they add a new one to keep the number of macOS versions needing to be tested manageable.)

I just updated both HDX cards in my system on Big Sur without issue. I'm hoping that interrupt change means no more dropouts with small buffer sizes.

Single HDX card, Mac Pro 5,1 MacOS Mojave. No issues with the firmware update. Took only a couple of minutes and a cold start.

Very glad to hear it works on High Sierra.

Is the firmware update mandatory in order to run Protools? I just need to check a bug, the fix list is a bit vague about it, and rather not update a working system...

Single HDX card here, updated fine. Anyone notice a change in behavior? Seems to be about the same at low buffer settings here.
