Thank you for gettin back,I haven't trashed prefs yet,this happened to one of 5 songs from the same session,the other four opened fine?....

can you identify the difference between the 4 good ones and the one bad session ?? a plugin, etc ..

well, damn .. have you tried the old Import Session Data .. sounds like you have a corruption somewhere ..

Did you ever figure this out? I'm receiving the exact same error on a project of mine now that was working fine only a week ago, only mine says line 1092.

Did you try trashing prefs and importing content into a new session? The assert looks fairly session/audio file specific so session corruption is the obvious suspect, and if it's only happening on one of your sessions... that too. Make sure all your media plays OK is an external player. If none of that works then contact Avid support, they should be able track down the meaning of the assert fairly quickly if they are motivated.
