Pro Tools in the 64 bit app world
Pro Tools in the 64 bit world. How will that affect the Pro Tools HD world? Meaning how will that affect the TDM plugins and the HD cards. I’m not talking about how audio is processed, but if Pro Tools is a 64 bit app.
Just curious, any thoughts.

I bit because the headline implied something many are interested in, including moi. PT now is 32-bit, the latest modern OS can be 64-bit.
Google is your friend... Look forward to when PT can adress more RAM fora number of reasons... best j

This question has been answered a dozen times, a dozen different ways. Pro Tools is 32 bit until there is an announcement/update saying otherwise. It runs on W7 64-bit, and OSX 10.6.x (which is 64-bit) as a 32 bit application.
