Do I need to reinstall Pro Tools?

Hi, I'm running pt10 on a windows computer... A while back I got an mbox 3 that came with pt9 and a free ugpgrade to pt10.. i installed pt10 fully along with the avid instruments... then I find out that my mbox is defective so I bought a new mbox with pt express and a crossgrade to pt10.

Since I already have pt10, once I get my mbox / ilok and register pt10 on my ilok.. do I then need to uninstall the exsisting version of pt10 on my computer, then re-install the crossgrade? Or can I just register my ilok with pt10 and use the pt10 i already have?

I believe you can use the same installation you already have. The I-lok authorization designates the actual version that gets launched, if memors serves.

I would try it with with what you currently have installed. But I've noticed that Avid is listing two separate update downloads for Pro Tools and Pro Tools Express.

Having said this if they are they same and I could use the same version of PT10 and swap iLoks I would probably be perfectly happy with PT Express on my laptop.
