Default PT 7.4 warning: Interlock authorizations loss/ drive names

my systems drive volume names are over 11 characters long and i'm getting a warning saying if i dont change them "interlock" protected plug in liscences may become corrupted...

anyone come accross this? how do i change my volume names? can i ignore it safely?

cheers for help, i'm just starting on PT and this is a bit freaky

I got this message also when I set up my new external drive. I changed the name of the partition in Partition Magic. I think you can also do it in Windows Explorer by right clicking on the partition and selecting rename. It's not worth losing your iLok auths...

Just right click the disk drives name and rename to something with less letters.

I.E. I changed my C/ Drive from "Media Center 2005" to "MCE 2005".

As a precuation you might want to right click the drive select "Properties">"Tools" and run the error checking program. I would reboot for good measure also.

Its not that big deal really - Your simply changing the volume name, the files structure and the like will remain un touched.
