Emagic Unitor 8 and LTC
Hi,
I have a problem regarding the syncronization of Pro Tools 6.4 via Emagic Unitor 8 using LTC. The sync via MTC is working but I just can't do the setup for LTC. Can somebody help me pls? Thanks. |

Re: Emagic Unitor 8 and LTC
Exactly what are you hoping to do?
FWIW, you can't synchronize PT to anything using LTC with a Unitor 8, because the Unitor 8 does not in any way resolve your Digidesign clock to time code. The LTC in the Unitor 8 is pretty much only for synchronizing MIDI sequencer playback to a time code. That's what it was designed to do. If you need to synchronize digital audio playback, you need different equipment. Lee Blaske |

Re: Emagic Unitor 8 and LTC
Hi Lee,
Thanks for your answer but by the time a I've got it working. I'm syncronizing a Tascam DA-88 Hi8 deck with Pro Tools using LTC and it works just fine. Tom |
