Help needed Please

Hi.

I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me with an issue I am having.

I am currently working remotely with another composer and he sent Me a session today which is not running correctly. As soon as i start looping a section Pro tools locks up for about 45 seconds I lose complete control of the keyboard and the program becomes unresponsive to any key commands.

I am running HD2 with PT 8.1 cs1 on Snow Leopard on a Mac pro 8 core and he is Running Hd3 on Pt 8.0.1 cs1 on a G5 PPC. Is there any way that there can be a conflict relating to the different Processors in the computers. If so does anyone have any suggestions.

I'm not aware of any incompatabilities (there may be some, but I don't know about them), but have you tried starting with a clean 8.1 session and importing tracks / tempo map?

Are any of the preferences settings in his session different than your usual settings? Anything strange happening with synchronization options?

How about saving a copy of the session, including copying all the audio files?
