S6 - Best Display monitor for Producer's Desk?

Just got our producers desk buckets with the ergo monitor arm and keyboard tray & ect... just wondering if anyone has already installed there with a display monitor, if so what's the best type? Looks like any 22" monitor should fit. My 24" cinema display doesn't want to fit.

Isn't there something about 80 MM VESA mounts and 100 MM VESA mounts and that for Apple monitors you have to get a special bracket or something?

I believe I recall reading that somewhere...

Hey Alex,

Did you get the Vesa arm from Avid if so, how in the world did you mount the thing?
I didn't get the producer desk but was told the vesa arm should still work but I don't have a clue where it would mount!

If you have pics or some instructions to help that would be awesome!!

There is a special bracket system available from Apple for the VESA mount and it's not the easiest thing to install. If not done right where all the screws are tightened down the bracket will work loose and you won't have a secure mounting.

They are talking about where to mount it on the S6 of you didn't get the Producer's desk, not how to mount the display to the arm.

Jeremy, I was told it should mount to a Speaker stand. The square holes in the back of console are supposedly for speaker stands. The Vesa arm they sent me is great, but I never got a speaker stand so I still can't mount it either. I'm still waiting to hear back from Avid. As far as I know They haven't even developed the damn things yet. I can't seem to find any proper instructions to put my producer desk together either, All i can find is a blow out of all the pieces. It's starting to get a bit frustrating as we have 2 of these things that look like they arn't even working because there's two giant holes in them.

Bill Denton asked about the VESA mount for Mac displays and that's what I was responding to. I assumed he wanted to know about the VESA bracket adapter.

The Vesa arm simply mounts to the desk that the S6 is sitting on.
If you have an S6 with a leg stand, then you will need to order an S6 speaker stand and the Vesa arm then clamps to it.

I was under the impression that we would receive at least 2 monitor stands for our s6's as the S6's we ordered were "fully loaded" producer desks, keyboard trays, leg stands ect.

The Vesa mount now comes with a pole that fits into the back of the S6 frame
