You could probably get one used (probably cheap if you let them know they're discontinued!). I talked to a guy at Apogee and he said that they would never drop support for it if you're afraid of that.

I'm actually in the same bind as you. I've heard many people say good things about the lunatec. It's about $500 more expensive but it's functionally the same as the mini-me.I'm also assuming based on the old ""you get what you pay for" theory, it will probably sound a bit better too.

Huh? Am I missing something? Mini-Me only has digital outputs as far as I can tell. Luna V3 has analog + digital outs.

Oh, Mini-Me claims you can monitor via USB return.... good luck with that.

Not sure what you mean by that. None of the reviews I saw mentioned problems with the USB functionality. Did you have trouble with it on a Mini-Me you were using at some point? If it is a general dislike of USB there was also a firewire version of the Mini-Me for a time:

Tuur, they show up on eBay from time to time, you could try and snag one there.

Good luck!

For the record - the Mini-Me is A/D only!
But this doesn't hurt with a MBox where you'd use it for recording 2 additional channels via SPDIF.
