Default Computer Monitor for D-Command

Hi all!

My 19" Viewsonic VP930 bit it yesterday and I'm shopping for a new computer monitor for my D-Command setup. What are y'all using to look at? I'm thinking smaller is good so I don't have a big flat thing between me and my Genelecs.

All advise welcome! You can see my current setup here: http://www.wilburland.com/wilburland..._Studio.html#9

Thanks!

Hi,

when sitting right in front of D-Command I'm looking into a 23" Apple Cinema HD Display. This enables me while tracking to have a look thru the window and to the monitor and to the d-command without leaving the sweet spot too much.

While arranging (when I'm alone) most of the time I'm using the 30" display & the small NEC 15" display (for Midi Editor window only).

Pix how it's set up are here:

The Apple displays are "easy" to look in....esp. when you're gettin older and eyes/brain are slightly damaged from looking into monitors all day since at least the last 25 years

I've used the Asus 24" and it's quite nice. Very affordable at $ 219.99

Looking at your pictures you could probably even go bigger....

Best,
Tom

Thanks for the feedback guys! I found a 20" Apple cinema display on EBay with the vesa mount for $250. It's perfect!

I was tempted to go bigger but it 's not about how it looks, it's about the sound, ya know?

I took the same route with my 20" w/Vesa mount and Ergotron LX wall mount. Worked out perfectly, and it sounds good too.

Hi
Cause of this thread we replaced our old 19" Samsung with a 20" Apple cinema display. Looks nice, but.......
We're a bit shocked how loud the monitor is buzzing.
Sounds like an internal fan or......???
Is this on ours only?
Do you have buzzing noise too?

Best,

Patrick
