Not at all.. I love PT... I'll have 10 when my native card gets here Monday.. I'll just not need the 9 license any longer... I think. I don't really want to keep two different systems here. If the upgrade price was better I would do that and put 10 on my lappy as well.

Who knows.. Maybe I'll change my mind and keep it. 9 has been perfect for me.

ohhhh you lucky dog! Man I have been wanting Native|HD for so long, and that Frank Filipetti webinar was just torture for me to watch because it was so awesome. (if you all haven't seen that webinar it is a must watch : http://apps.avid.com/hd-native/index...pid=AV-V-PTN-1 )

Unless you plan on running both simultaneously, why not take the iLok out of your main rig and run PT10 on your laptop?

Also, I'm pretty sure your PT10 asset will allow you to run PT9 as well, of course, not simultaneously.

If I remember the post by Max correctly.. buying an upgrade from 9 to 10 would give you two license.. 9 and 10. buying 10 outright only gave you a license for 10. You can open v9 in v10 but it's not the same as running it..

besides, I keep my iloks under lock and key so they don't wander away.

Since I'll be getting an amnesty upgrade to 10 maybe they will leave both licenses there.. I'd still like to see a better upgrade price though. I don't mind spending money, I just don't like getting mugged.

PT10 is bundled with a PT9 asset.
