Re: HDX, Latency, & Virtual Insts?
Thanks, detroit.
So I guess you would recommend HDX for composers, over HDN, despite the instabilities? |

Re: HDX, Latency, & Virtual Insts?
What's also being said is that as far as VI performance and latency goes there is no difference between HD and HDX. That's an important detail that should not get lost in the haze of Q&A here.

Re: HDX, Latency, & Virtual Insts?
You should consider ViennaEnsemble pro; works great on any PT system, and you can load a lot more VI than in PT alone; you also can have a slave connected by ethernet, no latency, easy to manage.

Re: HDX, Latency, & Virtual Insts?
VE Pro works like a charm here too, on the same machine. Using a seperate VI host is really the only way to get decent VI performance in HD or HDX at this point. That is until 11, with 64 bit support, hopefully solves the present issues.

Re: HDX, Latency, & Virtual Insts?
10.7.5 fixed a few things including the quicktime loop feature.
PR's 10.3 also seems better during edit sessions with Vi's
