Default NAS Backup storage Question

I want to buy a 8TB Promise NS4600
Here is a link

I am not running Audio off it. I just need it to back up my Macpro and sample libraries etc. This uses Raid 5 for Backup. Does this conflict with Protools 8 at all.

Default Re: NAS Backup storage Question

If you mark the drive as Transfer only in the workspace, I can't imagine why it would give you any issues at all. Lots of people I know have Drobos online, not for use with ProTools, but just attacked in a manner to what you want to do, and they aren't have any problems.

You should be fine.
