Default -6088 and -6085 errors, any ideas?

Hi I just got the Creation Station Rack HD and am trying to run a 003 and Pro Tools 7.4cs7. The key word is trying because I get errors -6088, the operating system held off interrupts for too lond...try increasing the "H/W Buffer Size" and error -6085, the audio device buffer underflowed...try decreasing the "H/W Buffer Size". This can happen in any size session. And I think has to do with moving the Edit Window in anyway, scrolling, zooming, etc. but not sure. I have already tried trashing prefs and databases, and installed a couple windows hotfixes. Do you guys have any other ideas?

SiSoftware Sandra

Have you turned off all un-needed stuff with XP.

I found by running msconfig, and Un-Checking: Load System Service and Load Startup Items My Old P4 runs solid with 003 Rack PTLE 7.4

I first tried selectively turning off stuff in msconfig, start-up..but I haven't figured out yet exactly what keeps "bumping" PT to give the "under or overrun buffer" messages, but with everything off it is quite stable.

Good luck.

new update: I have tried replacing the firewire card with another one on my old rig that worked smoothly. So maybe is it a mother board issue? I have an ASUS P5BV-C thanks ahead of time

Have you done all the steps in the General Troubleshooting thread yet? And, if so, which ones have you done specifically?

I have disabled device drivers, disabled system startup items and services, deleted the DAE and Pro Tools perfs files, I have the newest version of the CS, and have disconnected all extra USB or F/W devices, I am going to try the rest of the list and report back, in the meantime any suggestions?

Disabling wireless devices, built in sound cards and network cards - basically everything that's covered in the General Troubleshooting thread.

6085 is usually related to an unsupported chipset on the firewire controller card. Yours appears to have a TI chipset, which should work fine. Most likely it's something going on in the background interfering with proper communication.

Well now I have officially done everything in general trouble shooting up to and including the hotfixes and have still not solved the problem, I have tried using a PCI F/W card that worked on my old rig, and still getting the errors. I dont know what to try next, could it be a video card problem?
