So your giving up? What about the beat clock? Is your keyboard capable of receiving the beat clock. When I had my Alesis HR-16 drum machine, I just turned on the beat clock so when ever I hit the space bar it would start. You have to try the trial and error system unless someone know that keyboard. You may have to just bounce in your audio from the key board and drag the wave forms to line up with your grids if you want to use other instruments, IE: (VST). Go out from your key board into your ins on your 003. Record. Some keyboards can be synced to PT. I have a Motif ES 8 and have been trying for three years to make it work. It has its own sequencer. I got it to work once but it almost froze my computer so I said, I'll just use it four sounds. Give it a little more time. Good luck.

This is not specific to the MC50 (it's for MPC), but this post includes the kind of info you need to set up MIDI sync:

http://duc.digidesign.com/showthread.php?t=243075

You need to decide a couple things; like what is going to be the master sequencer -- ProTools, or the MC50?

Is the MC50 currently triggering the drum machine? Are you going to transfer the MIDI from the MC50 to ProTools and then trigger the drum machine from PT? Describe the specifics of your session a bit better...

Read through that post and see if it makes sense for your situation..

My experience:

Send MIDI clock (aka SPP, do not mixup with MTC) to external devices:
PT LE: +
Reaper: +
Ableton Live: +

Send variable tempo to external devices:
PT LE: +
Reaper: +
Ableton Live: +

Accept MIDI clock (aka SPP, do not mixup with MTC) from external devices:
PT LE: -
Reaper: +
Ableton Live: +

Accept variable tempo from external devices:
PT LE: -
Reaper: -
Ableton Live: +

I would like Pro Tools to be the master, and yes the MC50 Triggers the drum Machine, does it make a difference which one is the master, the reason i said i would like pro tools to be the master is because i do all my starting and stopping from Pro tools. and thank you all again for your help, Merry Xmas to all

spidey, you're probably just gonna have to screw around with it and try to get things sync'd up. Unless somebody has the same hardware and is trying to use it in the same way you are probably not going to get specific info.

I will say that I think you should try to get the MC50 out of the process. Get your MIDI recorded into PT and then just depend on sequencing in PT... PT can then trigger the Drum machine, too..
