10.5.8 user here.

Digi: I Would like to know if I'll get some benefits going from 8.0.1 to 8.0.3 staying on Leopard, not snow lepoard.

Thanks.

Well, I can only speak for myself but I completely erased my Snow Leopard and PTLE 8.0.3 test volume and I'm now using that drive for temporary storage again. Snow Leopard in general is a complete mess in my opinion. Trying to use a weak version of PTLE within a beta version of OSX is just too frustrating for me. I'm stable, happy and very productive in 10.5.8 with 8.0.1 thank you!!

I'll try again in about 6 months when the consumer beta testing period has fleshed out most of the bugs within both products...

This is why it's always a good idea to have at least one drive or volume free for testing new stuff out. Zero down time.

I ran a 5 hour session on 8.03 and 10.6.2 last night with no problems. logic sessions opened and played back. and itunes played back thru 002. only problem found SO far is the bouncing CoreMIDI.framework in my doc. i actually had to force shut down after my session b/c the bouncing CoreMIDI.framework wouldn't go away and wouldn't let me shut down my cpu properly.... pretty annoying, but PT and Logic both run now which is pretty amazing...

I'm happy with the latest update.

I've complained about PT8 for a while but now it seems I'm getting back to recording music rather than troubleshooting protools which is a good place to get to. Saying that, the move from PT7 to PT8 has been the worst transition in the history of PT with so many problems it's been crazy.

It seems that after many months we've finally got there.

Let's make some music!!

IMAC snowleo with pt 8.0.3
I upgraded to 8.0.3 first and then to snowleo.
I have had no problems so far.
Sessions seem to open faster and my scrolling problems
in the arrange window are history which is almost too good to
believe.

Went back to 8.0cs3....the lastest update was causing freezing during playback.
Now everything is groovy...A.I.R. VI's too!
