I'm stable, happy and very productive in 10.5.8 with 8.0.1 thank you!!

I'll try again in about 6 months when the consumer beta testing period has fleshed out most of the bugs within both products...

This is why it's always a good idea to have at least one drive or volume free for testing new stuff out. Zero down time.

Same exact scenario for me. Went back to Leopard and 8.0.1. Then upgraded to 8.0.3. Seems ok so far.

When you guys upgraded to Snow Leopard, did you do a clean install or an update? Just the thought of deactivating all my plugins and apps in order to do a clean install make me want to stay with 10.5.8.

My upgrade from PT 8.0.1 to 8.0.3 went very smoothly and everything I tried still worked. I then upgraded from Leopard to Snow Leopard and everything still works fine. I realize I don't have a lot of fancy 3rd plugins, so maybe that is why all is good for me. I have a Digi 002R, Digi 002, Mbox2Mini, and Mbox2Micro and they all still work fine too. I've upgraded my 15" Macbook Pro (Pre unibody), Mac Mini (Core Duo), and a new 8-core "Nehalem" Mac Pro that I was able to work on. All is working fine.

I did an update and spent about an hour in a pretty unstable state in Pro Tools, before bailing out. I just didn't have the motivation to try and get to the bottom of my issues when I knew I was pretty happy with my old build. My best guess is that my instability was based on my plugs. It's daunting to look at my plugs and think about all the checking and updating.
