Default D-Command Record + Play button issues

Hello,

Recently (maybe since 12.6) if I hit the record button to put the transport into "record ready" mode and then hit play it will not enter record mode but instead playback mode. Once transport is in play then hitting the record button again will record on all armed tracks.

"Command-Spacebar" works as intended, just cannot enter record from the D-Command.

Anyone else notice this?

Thanks

It's not a protools version problem. I had it and I think id due to some configuration on the transport maybe. Let me think what I had done to solve it.........

I checked every preference I could find but still cannot restore the functionality.

Anyone else having this issue, or had it before?

Thanks

I believe I experienced this once, and the cure was to delete PT prefs.

Also yo can check if at the top and right of the d command are some buttons that link the timeline to the transport. Try fuzzing around with them to find the correct behavior you are looking for. I think are colored blue.

I think trash preferences did it, but I also updated to 12.7 so not sure

Either way it is working again.

Thanks all

Recently I lost mark in/out buttons while in playback. Trashing preferences did the trick too.

I've been having the same issue, and its driving me nuts! Its not PT12 specific, as its happening to me in PTHD11.

For anyone else looking, the button on the D-Command's monitor section top right in the 'timeline'box (where you change what the counter shows), press the 'edit/t-line' button so the light is on the right (t-line).

This cured this issue for me. No prefs trashing needed!
