College, Pro-Tools and Logic...
Aargh, the nearer i get to buying a set-up, the more complicated it gets, and everything seems to be in turmoil right now. I think I shall wait until late autumn when everything might have settled down a bit.
My main concerns at the moment are to do with compatability between OS9 and OSX. After much deliberation, I've decided to go for Logic, as it seems I would be able to do more within the computer itself. However, if I got Logic OSX, would it be compatible with the Logic OS9 (on top of pro-tools) system that I use at college? Should I just try and get exactly the same software that I use at college? Will emagic bring out OSX versions of Logic Silver and Gold? I'm very tempted to by the Big-Box but I've a feeling they're gonna charge for an upgrade. Does anyone reckon that the forthcoming Pro-Tools for OSX might be amazingly different? I've got a feeling they're gonna try and outdo logic... |
