Re: 888/16/ 24 problem
Going to PT via 888/16 you have to dither to 16 bit thus avoiding truncation.
Set dither plug-in on 8 aux inputs & rote them to disk tracks.

Empty the Trash and restart the Mac. Reconfigure the hardware settings when you re-launch. -Reseat the 888 I/O interface cable at both ends. -Make sure you have a Slave Clock chain connecting all interfaces. If problems persist: -Swap Interface positions (trash DigiSetup each time you make a change) and see if the problem follows the interface or is specific to the card. Brent |

Re: 888/16/ 24 problem
Hey CFS:
Why not use the AD 8000 or the 888/24 and make 3 passes with Pro Tools online and slaved to time code. I do that all the time with my 16 tracks of DA-88 and one 888/24. Best Regards Happiness, Health, Peace and Prosperity to all in 2002. |

Re: 888/16/ 24 problem
Sounds like it could be a clocking problem to me, Although the 888/16 is not going to sound as good as the Apogee or the 888/24 it should not have clicks and pops and not sound that bad.
Make sure that you have a super clock cable going from the Apogee to the 888/24 and another going from the 888/24 to the 888/16. Also, make sure that each of these BNC cables is UNDER 5 or 6 feet in length. If you use longer cables you will more than likely hear problems. Jon Connolly Digidesign Product Specialist |
