Default dual monitors or one huge?

Which is better? One huge or two monitors. Also interested don't you think that two monitors (dualview) is taxing the machine more than only one?

I doubt the computer cares. The real question is your definition of huge. IntelDoc uses something like a 42"! I use a pair of 22" widescreens. 2 screens allows you to place the edit window on one and the mix window and plugins on the other which can be handy. If you go single, make sure its at least 24" and supports 1920x1080. A 32" screen that only does 1368 is not going to get you where you want to be. It sort of depends on how you like to work. If you are going with a single screen, make it at least a 24" and plan on moving stuff around a lot. It never seems to fail that the plugin you open ends up right on top of the track you want to edit....

I say go nuts and get a triple-head from Matrox, but I'm very gear-obsessed!

Did this with a Matrox P650 and the triple-head upgrade kit.

Do both!!!

I was running 2 19" monitors and wanted to add a third(for plug-ins). The one 19" went out so now I run a 24" widescreen and a 19" standard - works great and I didn't have to add another video card to support the third monitor!

I'm waiting for my two 22" monitors right now. They should be delivered tommorrow.

What resolution do you use on your two monitors?

I run my 22" at the native res (1680x1050 I think). I actually run one output to a VGA splitter and feed both the left 22" and a 20" widescreen over at my keyboard station.
