Powerbook/mbox/rosetta200/mpc4000
Hi all,
I'm a long(ish) time mac user (powerbook only at the moment), Ive been using ProTools a while, and love using the MPC1000. I'm thinking of getting a rosetta 200 and some midi interface (not sure which), then connecting like this: using the Rosetta A/D-D/A and going into/out the spdif i/o on an mbox, connecting the MPC1000 to the analogue i/o of the mbox. Midi out from ProTools into the MPC1000. This way I can programme the way I like on the MPC1000 but sync it (via midi) to ProTools + use its audio editing (which I love) for other stuff (vocals/whatever). Can anyone see any problems with this setup? Will the spdif i/o on the mbox compromise the quality of the rosetta 200? Can I monitor the analogue inputs of the mbox whilst using its spdif i/o? (I will be getting a HD1 or 2 system in 6 months or so, so this is kind of a temporary solution) Many thanks for your help (naturally!) in advance Regards Ron |
