How to get sound from Apollo twin duo

Hello,

I recently got pro tools 12, I'm on a Mac book pro hooked up to a Apollo twin duo with thunder bolt. I have my monitor speakers hook to the Apollo, but I get no sound out of my speakers. Do I have to make some kind of path in the I/O settings for it to work through my interface? ( the sound will work out of my internal speakers)

Have you selected the Apollo as the I/O interface in Pro Tools?

you need to delete your io and then default it again......
