Default Deleted preferences and repaired Disc Permissions/ SUCCESS!!!!

Well my friends, turns out that doing these steps routinely can conquer many an issue. What baffles me is that there are so many iTunes related errors coming up on the repair disc permissions. What's that all about.
Because I'm on a mac I can't just get rid of iTunes either.

The good news is that Protools 11 is now running great with a few active 3rd party plugins as well. So now I won't have to upgrade to 12 or switch to Studio One just yet.

I'm just not loving this concept of a yearly subscription plan thing and have been learning more and more about Studio One as being more efficient than Protools. Presonus has a bunch of high end clients raving about this DAW. I figure it might be a better bet in the long run. But switching over is not what I wanted to do just yet. Maybe I'll try the free version to test it out.

Considering your feelings about subscription, stick with PT11.

If you can't produce a hit record on PT11, you won't be able to on PT12 either ( or Studio One )

Thanks. Will take that under advisement. Now all I need to know is how can I get rid of iTunes since it's causing a lot of errors in permissions when I run repair disc permissions.
