Default OMF not relinking correct files

Hi There!

I am currently working on a film with a client, he has given me an OMF (sent through Wetransfer) file which I believe comes from an Premiere Pro session (I usually have no trouble with these OMF's). He also has given me a load of audio files to link with the video.

I went about my usual routine of loading a session up, importing session data and selecting the OMF, this worked fine. Then I was asked to relink the files either manually, automatically or skip all. I selected the manual option and selected the folder but it didn't work.

I checked the file names to make sure I was trying to use the right files, but the file names were exactly the same side by side (same file size too). I tried relinking the files one by one. I also tried copying the audio bin to another location and relinking from the new location. But this didn't work.

Does anyone have any ideas? The computer described underneath is not the ones that I am using in this session. Its a Mac Pro 2009, 6gb, Mac OS X Lion, 2x2.26 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon using Pro Tools 10.3.6 with a midi controller. I have had the same issue on my computer.

not that this will help but whenever I've had OMF/AAF problems it has always been a problem with the creation of them

could try less matching criteria like name only

premier is the worst for session transfer! I just did 3 features that came from premiere.

make they sure they output properly but even when they do you have to relink by name only and you have to select AIFF if the OMF/AAF was made that way.

make sure editor checks this:
