Thanks to everyone for recommendations! All of them have been reviewed. After switching back and forth and many reviews I will land on RME Fireface UFX II. What made my decision? Secondhand market holds good value and amazing record on their product support longevity.

Edit: I just realized you've already made a decision haha

Apogee Quartet for 5.1
Apogee Ensemble Thunderbolt for 9.1 (or 7.1.2)

You said previously that you want to connect via AES to Genelec´s (which I was not aware when I mentioned the Focusrite RED4 and Drawmer gear via analogue).

Bear in mind that the RME interface you´re mentioning, only has a pair of AES channels, so, if you´re going to 5.1, you´re missing 4 channels.

Also, going Genelec´s with AES/EBU needs a 9301A unit to connect to the Sub, as Genelec´s Smart subs, only have a pair of AES/EBU channels. That only applies if you want to use the sub for bass management and Lfe of course.

I will use old Genelec AD9200A unit for AES I found in mixing house. It have been collecting dust when I upgraded to MTRX and have forgot that I have one. I am in doubt that AES versus Analog connections will make any audible difference but meantime I have pretty bad electricity grounding issues as home (old house). Test will show.
