Are you referring about the Magma Chasis???
I believe HD Native had it qualified and HDNative is PT9, so yes...??

I have the digidesign expansion HD Chassi, not the Magma. It has been supported only till PT 8.0.1, but what I am asking is if protools 9, kind of re give support to the digidesign chassi, (since it is giving support to so many interfaces).

Technically, PT9 doesn't "support so many interfaces" - it supports ONE standard (well 2 - one each for mac and PC) - Coreaudio and ASIO.

It's then up to interface manufacturers to provide drivers for their interfaces.

The Magma/Expansion HD situation is totally different - it's not an interface, there's no drivers, and PT isn't even aware of it. The Expansion HD wasn't compatible from 8.0.1 onwards and it won't ever be compatible again. Actually, make that supported, not compatible - I suppose there's a chance it might work past 8.0.1, but you won't get tech support if it doesn't!

Hi,

Actually the Digidesign expansion HD did have drivers, its an ethernet chassis and had drivers for Pro Tools to use it. its not like a PCI chassis thats seen as an extension of the PCI bus.

Never the less it was dropped at 8.0.1
