Mbox and "operating system held off interrupts for too long" error -6086

I currently have an 001 and an Mbox. the 001 had only given me that message if I really started to use alot of tracks. the 001 has always been solid. The Mbox is worrying me though.

I can barely even play a 4 track song. and if i touch any of the screens or try to drag them, it instantly cuts off and gives me the error message. i followed all the config settings that the installation manual provided but still no deal. the hardware buffer size is maxed and so are all the other buffer settings.

Please dont let this be an Mbox/usb limitation. Does an mbox normally lower the track count on protools or max out quicker than an 001?

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Well yes, it will take a performance hit because of the system resourses for the USB. But four tracks should not max it out, if your system is fast enough.
Why don't you post your system specs, along with your IRQs. That would give us a better idea of what you're dealing with.
