New Track widths PT 2023.6
I can´t insert multichannel plugins on tracks, auxes or routing folders in 7.1.4, 9.1.6 etc. layouts . Only multi-mono options show up of the available plugins.
I tried the new AVID/Dolby track presets but only the previous layouts work, eg 7.1.2 and bellow. I have plugins like Liquid Sonics that can handle up to 9.1.6, so I don´t get it. Is anybody experiencing this? I´m on M1 MAX, running PT Ultimate/Core Audio in Universal mode.Thanks.

Strange, I'm not experiencing that. I don't have an M1 so I don't know if that has anything to do with it.

Re: New Track widths PT 2023.6
Have you actually updated your plugins? Liquidsonics works with their latests. Others will catch up.
7.1.4 audio track

Re: New Track widths PT 2023.6
Thank you all for the replies. All plugins are the latest version. Really don´t get it. Re-installed PT again, still the same. Liquidsonics for example opens in Logic in 7.1.4, no problem, although it´s AU.
The only instances where I can insert plugins in Multi channel mode is up to 7.1.2, but curiously, 5.1.4 etc doesn´t work either. None of the new channel widths work in multichannel, be it tracks, auxes, whatever.... Exponential Audio Stratus 3d and Symphony 3d do not even show up, not even in stereo which is really odd. I have their latest versions as well, compatible in Rosetta and Native apple silicon. Here´s a screenshot of a 7.1.4 track, insert dropdown

Literally the only plugins that support the wider track widths at the moment are Liquidsonics/Reverb Factory (same company.) List the exact versions of the Liquidsonic Plugins. Use Pete Gates PT Prefs 2 to scan your AAX plugin directory and then list the versions it shows there. (If you don't have it: https://petegates.com/pgptprefs.html)

Re: New Track widths PT 2023.6
Same issue here.
I updated all Liquidsonics plugs. But any width on tracks, auxes, folders, or master faders above 7.1.2 kills the multi-channel option and only allows multi-mono. 2019 Intel MacPro, MacOS 12.6.6, PT 2023.6

Re: New Track widths PT 2023.6
Here are the versions (as listed in Pete Gates PT Prefs) of the working Liquidsonic/Reverb Factory plugins that you can clearly see above are available in the wider widths. I am running a native system (a distinction not applicable to Intel Macs.)

Re: New Track widths PT 2023.6
I had the same problem after installing the new versions over the old - it didn't overwrite the old ones. I deleted the plugins in the AAX plugin folder then reinstalled and everything is hunky dory.

Re: New Track widths PT 2023.6
Yup - this works for Liquidsonics. Nothing else, though.

Re: New Track widths PT 2023.6
Quote:
System requirements Operating Systems Mac: macOS Catalina (10.15.6) - macOS Monterey (12.5.x) * Windows: Win 10 – Win 11 * Supported on Intel Macs & Apple silicon Macs (Apple M1 chips) in Rosetta 2 and native. Plugin Formats VST3, AAX, AU. * Note: 3D option is not available in AU. * All plug-in formats are 64-bit only. So, apparently AAX is supported in Native and Rosetta, only the AU version doesn´t support elevation. At least they should show up in stereo, despite being installed on the AVID plugin folder as the rest of the bunch. Maybe the problem is that I´m on Ventura and Monterey is the last listed supported MAC OS.... Regarding the Liquisonics, I have Cinematic Rooms Professional V 1.2.6 which I assume is the latest, as I did download it from their website a couple of days ago. It´s the one that has the new presets.
