Smpte
I'm trying to sync PT with incoming timecode. I can see the timecode in my session setup but somehow I can't get PT to follow the timecode. My setup is a Profire 2626 & M-audio Midisport 8x8S. The Midisport is receiving the incoming timecode from a timecode generator.
Any ideas how I can get PT to lock/follow incoming timecode? |

Re: Smpte
Did you enable the Online button in the transport window?

Re: Smpte
I managed to get it to work. It was a frame rate issue that I had to change in the session setup. It had to match the number the frame rate from the timecode generator

Re: Smpte
Understand that what you're doing is "lock and release" sync, and it will drift over time since PT isn't synced to the external source's clock. How much? Who knows, it depends on the difference in the two clocks. This is all in the other thread you posted in and linked threads.
