Can't hear live midi when playing or recording
Hello,
I have PT 8.0.3pr on Snow Leopard with an Mbox micro and for some reason, midi just won't play any sound until after I'm done recording (even though it will register my notes on the edit window) - so no live playing for me... Do you have any idea as to what maybe causing this? Snow? 8.0.3? both? Thanks for any input!

Don't know that that is the problem if ur getting midi recorded because if midi thru isn't on he shouldn't even be getting midi notes recorded...

nah, midi/inst tracks accept the incoming midi and record it.. They just don't pass it THRU to wherever it is going.. I'm no MIDI expert, but I can't think of the scenario where you would ever want MIDI thru OFF.. It seems like that is the default setting in PT and it creates pure havoc... Well, maybe not havoc...

Well u know I don't doubt u Flommer... I guess I thought that because I have not & wouldn't even try recording midi if I didn't hear it...

Yeah I don't know... Maybe if you were playing live so your synths are all Local on, but you still wanted to grab the MIDI..?
It's a mystery..
