Can't select Native Instruments application directory on startup after 8.0.1 update
After reverting back to a Carbon Copy Cloner image of a good clean working boot (osx 10.5.8) ,then updating to 8.0.1, then 8.0.1 cs1 (repairing permissions in between), I'm having the following problem. When loading the plugs on PT startup, it stops at "B4 II.dpm", a window pops up asking to "Please locate your B4 II Application Directory". When I try to click on the window, it is un-clickable - in other words, nothing I click on in the window does anything, and I have to force quit PT.
btw, right before I repaired permissions. I've tried this both without and with trashing prefs. I thought I've seen a thread about this before, but I can't seem to find it.

Re: Can't select Native Instruments application directory on startup after 8.0.1 upda
i tried removing the b4 plug, and Pro Tools will load. It's worked fine before, and it's a qualified plug.

Re: Can't select Native Instruments application directory on startup after 8.0.1 upda
Try launching B4 in standalone to see if you really need to locate the directory. If it won't launch in standalone, I would reinstall and update. Then try to open in standalone again. Make sure that you always update you NI plug-ins to the right directory. Some of the updates default to where they want and not to where you installed. Good luck.
