Default SDII and OS 8

Q - Why can't I install Sound Designer II when running OS 8?

A - Version 2.8.3 of Sound Designer II is required for OS 8 compatibility. If you need to upgrade to Sound Designer II 2.83, please contact Customer Support.

Does Sound Designer 2.83 add any features that version 2.82 doesn't have?

No features have been added. The only differences between 2.8.2 and 2.8.3 are:

1) New version of the copy protection to provide compatibility with OS 8.

2) Fix for a digital transfer problem to a Tascam DA30 from NuBus PTIII or PT Project systems. This fix was previously available as a Patcher that turned 2.8.2 into 2.8.2+.
