Default Xpand on pro tools 8

Help! Can't really seem to find the right answer so I'm posting a thread of my own! I am on pro tools 8 and running on max osx version 10.6.8

I am trying to open expand. I go to create a new stereo instrument track and then when I go to the view window and try to pull the instrument viewer via xpand it is not working at all. I think I installed xpand correctly? When I go to the finder in my mac it recognizes the xpand plug-in. I don't think pro tools is however.

Help a newcomer out!!!! :)

when you create the stereo instrument track, are you adding Xpand in the sends?

Are you able to select it from the sends menu?

Does it not show up at all in he sends menu under instruments?

are you on windows?

on a mac the actual dmg file should be in your digidesign/protools/plugins

and in digidesign/protoolscreativecollection/xpand2/xpand2.big

im not sure you have it installed correctly. If you are windows, i do not know the directory path. Someone else will have to post that. regardless, it should be in your plugins file.
