LE to HD Upgrade in Same PC - What Gets Lost?

Among other systems, have LE8 in a quadcore PC. Opportunity has arisen to grab hold of a used PCI HD2 at a good deal, which I'd like to just drop into the LE machine if possible.

What, if any, plug in authorizations will I lose? Will the sessions I have developed over the months maintain their stability?

It just CAN'T be as simple as installing the cards, upgrading hardware paths/TDM, and going to town (can it?)

You'll still need an Avid/Digidesign interface (96 i/o or 192) or other compatible interface (we use Lynx Aurora). If you use midi, you'll need a midi interface (you don't have to use a Avid/Digidesign interface). If you don't have a separate monitor controller, you'll need that too. if you're using the mic preamps on the 002, you'll need to get some mic preamps. The Digi 002/003 really pack a lot into two rack spaces!!

Your plug-ins will work on either system. You'll need to buy a PTHD ilok authorization, which you may find less expensive here in the buy and sell section of the DUC or Gearslutz.

Thanks...the package we are looking at is a Lynx ordeal...somewhere floating in the storage rooms is an MAudio Midi Sport...never (ever) use digi pres for anything that might even remotely be kept...
