Had a HUI for years .. finally bit the bullet and went to command 8 for my home system hd4 accel pt8. Had an icon at the studio where i work. I know it's not perfect but it is running perfect and beats the crap out of my Hui..for the money it cost me i am very happy...

The Alpha Track does have knobs mapped for eq's, sends and plugins

Ya..tis true..but I'm greedy and I want more of them! Kinda hoping for something akin to the new Steinberg CC121..I'm using a cheapo Behringer to edit my Virus plugin which is great. I mainly use a HUI but it's dying. Looks like a Command 8 if nothing's announced at Namm..

In this case my dealer is wrong too. He also told me that here in the UK.
I was waiting to get a new C|8!!!! Nothing at the NAMM 2009!
So, Digi, really no plans AT ALL to release a smaller than C|24 controller? It sounds too much to imagine that Digidesign is not working on a substitute for Command 8? Is there no plans AT ALL???

I know that to announce new products before it is THE moment does ruin the sells of current products - and lowers the price. I sincerely hope that this is the case - instead of the substitution being ignored.

I am not going to buy a Command 8. Before my PT-HD rig I had a Digi002 that was nice, of course. But I want to upgrade the idea of control surface that I have.

I guess I know the answer to a high-end 8 channel Control Surface from Digi: just buy the main unit of a D-Command ES, they are great 8 faders control surfaces! The only problems is the price, of course.

Never used a HUI before but I really want to buy one now due to more volume automations jobs...
I looked at Command 8, Euphonix Artists series and Mackie Control Universal Pro...
My preference would be the Command 8...BUT indeed...should I wait a few more months?
In Europe at least, prices are dropping seriously for Command 8...is this a sign?
