Default Student Upgrade Plan Issues

I recently bought a $99 Annual Upgrades and Support Plan for Protools-EDU Renewal from Guitar Center. Despite my previous upgrade and support plan expiring in May of 2016 and paying to buy a new one yesterday, I am still not able to download the most recent version of Pro Tools. I am very frustrated with this since I saved up to get this plan and I have read that it is possibly because I did not buy the Student Upgrade Reinstatement Plan instead of the Student Upgrade Renewal Plan. This would be very aggravating since they both retail at $99 dollars if I basically wasted my money on a plan I am unable to use. SOS
