Default Garage Band 1 Help.

Hey everyone. I know i know. Still just garage band one. But ijust had a few questions. 1. How do i hear my playback in garage band through my KRK monitors if i have them hooked throuugh my DAW, a digi002 with protools. 2. How can i have seperate drums tracks if im using a software instrument such as the ones included with the garageband or my drums from hell superior. 3. How recording a real instruments through my digi002 into garage band and what settings must be on the digi002 in order to do this properly. 4. Why is it a regular with recording where whenever you get excited because you think you finally figured something out, something else doesnt work or isnt set right. hahahahaha. the last question is a joke. But any help would be great though. as always -Ron

1: go to your OSX audio preference and switch the audio out to your digi 002

hey i just figured out that its not the settings in the mac, its the settings in the garage band. But i still cant get sound and this is why. In the preferances in garage band in the audio section the only options for input and output is built in speakers. So does anyone know how i can add my digi002 to them options. thank you very much

the digi interface should show up in the interface selection area of garageband preferences- tho osx needs the digi core audio utility to allow the 002 to be seen. i haven't used garageband v1 in a long time (i use v3 everyday for creating rough song sketches for logic), but if you're using v1, does that mean you're on an old version of osx? i think the digi core audio utility needs a fairly recent version.

just guessing, as i said, it should show up. have you tried using the audio midi setup utility?
