Default Digibase bug or limitation?

I'm noticing that Digibase shows me nested folders, but when I double click on those folders, it shows them as being empty. If I reveal that folder in the Finder, the files are there.

Is there a limit to how far Digibase goes down to find files?

I'm running the most recent Leopard (10.5.8) on a duo quad core. PT 8.0.3 HD.

I have removed all digidesign databases from mounted drives and toss out those inside:

Macintosh Hard Drive/Library/Application support/Digidesign/Databases/Unicode/Volumes

I emptied the trash and rebooted.

Thanks,

Jim

That doesn't sound good. What happens if you right click on the folder and choose "Update database for selected" before opening it?

Instead of right clicking (Control clicking doesn't bring any menu up), I selected the folder and chose Update database for selected. That did not resolve this issue. I then confirmed that there were files in that folder (in the Finder). There were.

Thanks for the hasty reply.... Love to get this working. Let me know if I can help.

Is anyone else experiencing problems with Digibase not showing files in nested folders?

This problem has seemed to have resolved itself. I had to do some troubleshooting yesterday and made some changes. If you are having this issue, the things that I did recently were:

Toss all prefs, database files with that wonderful tool that does it automatically.

Upgraded to 8.0.3cs1

good luck....

Does that folders have a custom icon assigned?
Try to trash invisible .DS_Store file inside it.

.
I think this may have been the core of your problem.. that app is worth it's weight in gold It is so difficult to manually do all that, particularly if you have a lot of drives. Cures a lot of ales.. ff

Hi

I also found that digibase sometimes does not find all files.
I had some situations when I had to search with spotlight.
Spotlight finds and digibase not! Trashing prefs did not help

This is also under 7.4, where I keep on working with.

Ale
