Default URGENT HELP NEEDED

Hello all

I've had intermittent problems with my DIGI001 picking up noise from the video card...a hi pitched noise/whine that radiates into the stereo bus on my mixer.
Noise is ONLY present when the 001 interface is connected to the PCI card.
Took everything out of the computer, incl. video card...no noise...introduced video card...noise.

I've been living with this since it used to be pretty low and unnoticeable, but I just bought an ATI 8500 for dual monitors...and now it's ridiculous.
Moving the DIGI pci to different slots does not change anything

Anybody heard of this??

is it my DIGI PCI interface that's not properly shielded or what?

Thanks

Move your breakoutbox as far away as you can from your computer and video-monitor(s).

As far as i know the signals on the pci-card, and the signals traveling to and from the breakoutbox are digital, and all the ad and da conversion is done in the breakoutbox.

Thanks

Worked it out, though....
The problem was going from the unbalanced 001 into a balanced board...lifing the ground/shield on the cables going into the board solved it.

Thanks
