HD Fire follows S1 when paging

When I page left or right with the S1, I notice that the HD Fire does not page with it. Should it? Is there a setting I'm missing?

It should.
Do you have more than one tablet in use? If the tablet is in master mode, then it won't. If it is in meter mode (or hybrid mode), it will.

If you look in Eucontrol, have you dragged the tablet to the right column next to the S1 unit or is it stacked underneath? If it is stacked underneath, then that would explain what you are seeing. Easily fixed by removing it from your My Surfaces and then dragging it back but this time in the Linked Tablet column

drop the tablet on top of the S1 (drag and drop) instead of using the "add"

So in your current state, first highlight the tablet and hit remove. Then drag it back with your mouse on top of the S1. It will then show up to the right (instead of under). That's what links them.

Ok, I see what you're saying drag the control over onto the S1. Got it... But I'm still not seeing the expected behavior. If I Bank < or Bank > on the S1, should the tablet not follow? Pro Tools does, but not the tablet.

Ok, I see... If it's in "Mixer Mode" it will not follow paging/banking. If it is in meter mode it will. Hmm... Wouldn't it be advantageous to have it work in Mixer Mode of the tablet, since that displays Pans / Solo's and Mutes? Seems a bit odd...

The Screen for the S1 was designed to be a meters screen not just duplicate(Mixer) what is already on the S1 surface.

Pans show up on the Meter tab (and that area can be swiped (if a plugin exist) to show EQ and Dynamics too -- you'll see a little segmented line in that area indicating there are alternate views). That's the "function graph" area.

Solo and Mute shows up on some pretty large buttons on the S1 that is linked so can't see the point of putting them on the S1. However, muted tracks do dim in brightness on the meters tab and if you are in solo, tracks not solo'd look muted (dimmed in brightness)

And, of course, pan can show up on the S1 too in the OLED screen area (which is the default setting for that area).

Helpful hint, you can bank and nudge the S1 faders from the tablet meter tab. Single finger tap on the first or last fader visible, nudges the channels in that direction. Double finger tap banks by 8 channels.
