Default Anyone using Mbox2 micro and iLok on laptop?

Digidesign says Mbox2 micro won't work well on hub (powered or not) and they are right. Great, but my laptop has only two USB ports, one being used by the wireless mouse. So, both the Mbox and iLok need to share the other. I was thinking a short USB cable with one male type A and two female type A connectors would be a solution. But I can't find one of these and I don't really know if this would work. The iLok seems fine on a powered hub, so I'm thinking a Y cable might actually be okay. Suggestions gratefully accepted.

I solved the USB problem like this:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/USB-2-0-PCMCIA...742.m153.l1262

Works a treat.

Why not connect the Mbox directly to one port, then use the hub for the wireless mouse and iLok?
